Terms of Use

GARIO helps you keep track of your vehicles’ renewal dates, documents and costs. It is a private helper on your device — not an official service, and not legal, tax, insurance or financial advice. Always confirm dates and requirements with the relevant authority.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Alongkorn Preeyatum, an individual developer (“we”, “us”), covering your use of the GARIO app on any platform. By downloading, installing or using GARIO you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your purchase and download of the app, and any in-app purchase, are also governed by the terms of the store you installed from (the Apple App Store or Google Play). Where this document is silent, the relevant app store’s standard licensed application terms apply.

2. What GARIO is — and is not

Not official. GARIO is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government body or authority (for example Thailand’s DLT, Singapore’s LTA, Malaysia’s JPJ, or the Philippines’ LTO), any insurer, or any inspection centre.
Informational only. Renewal dates, obligation sequences, reminders and status indicators are provided for your convenience. They may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong for your specific vehicle or situation. You must verify every date and requirement with the relevant authority before you rely on it.
Not advice. Nothing in GARIO is legal, tax, insurance, financial or professional advice.
Reference figures are estimates. Where GARIO shows a sample cost or fee, it is an estimate drawn from cited public sources — not a quote, not a calculation of what you owe. You enter the amounts you actually pay.
Keep your own records. GARIO is a convenience, not a system of record. Keep your original documents and your own backups.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use GARIO on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial vehicle management. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

copy, modify, distribute, sell, sub-licence or rent the app;
reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits;
use it to break any law, or to store or share content you have no right to;
attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the app or any related service.

5. Your content and data

Everything you enter — vehicles, documents, photos, dates, costs and notes — is yours, and (as described in the Privacy Policy) it is stored on your device. We do not receive it, so you grant us no rights over it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your own backups; deleting a record or uninstalling the app removes that data from the device.

6. Optional sign-in

You do not need an account to use GARIO. If you choose to sign in with your platform’s service (Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In on Android), that identity is stored on your device to label your local profile and is also subject to the provider’s own terms.

7. Paid features

GARIO is currently free. If we later offer paid features (for example a “GARIO Pro” subscription):

the price, billing period and what is included will be shown before you buy;
payment, billing and refunds are handled by the app store you installed from, under that store’s terms — we never see your card or billing details;
a subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it, and you cancel it in your app store account settings, not in GARIO;
except where the law or the store’s policy requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and unused time is not refunded on cancellation.

8. Optional third-party services

GARIO may in future let you start an optional action with a third party — for example comparing an insurance quote, renewing road tax, or booking a workshop. Where it does:

the action only happens when you choose to start it;
before anything is shared, GARIO will tell you what information goes to which third party;
we may receive a referral fee for introducing the business;
the third party’s own terms and privacy policy govern the service they provide, and we are not responsible for that service, its pricing, or its outcome.

9. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms. Material changes to these Terms will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, where significant, noted in the app. Continuing to use GARIO after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

GARIO is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its dates, sequences or reminders are complete or correct. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed deadline, a penalty, a lapsed insurance or registration, lost or corrupted data, or reliance on any information shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to GARIO is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or [USD 25 / THB 1,000] if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including certain consumer rights).

12. Indemnity

You agree to cover us for reasonable losses and costs arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using GARIO at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 2, 5 and 10–14 survive termination.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Thailand — confirm], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of [Thailand] have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim there.

15. Age

GARIO is intended for people aged 16 and over. By using it you confirm you are at least 16.
