GARIO

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

GARIO keeps everything you enter — your vehicles, documents, photos, costs and reminders — on your device. We run no servers, we have no account system, and we receive none of it. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

1. Who we are

GARIO (the “app”) is published by Alongkorn Preeyatum, an individual developer (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us about privacy at privacy@gario.app. This policy applies to GARIO on every platform we release it for.

2. The short version

3. What data GARIO handles, and where it lives

You may enter or attach:

All of the above is stored only on your device, in the app’s sandboxed storage. A small summary (the vehicle name and your next due item) is also written to a private area on the same device so a home-screen or lock-screen widget can display it. None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party.

4. Camera and photos

GARIO uses the camera and photo library only when you choose to scan or attach a document. Text recognition runs on your device. Images are not uploaded anywhere. You can decline or later revoke camera and photo access in your device’s settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

5. Notifications

Deadline reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push server is involved. You can turn them off in your device’s notification settings for GARIO, or within the app.

6. Optional sign-in

You do not need an account to use GARIO. If you choose to sign in, GARIO uses your platform’s sign-in service — Sign in with Apple on Apple devices, Google Sign-In on Android. The service gives the app a unique identifier and, if you allow it, your name and an email address (which may be a private-relay address). GARIO stores this on your device to label your local profile. We do not receive it and there is no account on our side. Your use of that sign-in service is also governed by the provider’s own privacy policy (Apple, Google).

7. No analytics, advertising or tracking

GARIO contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting software development kits, and makes no automatic network requests carrying your data. It does not read or use your device’s advertising identifier (the IDFA on Apple devices, the Advertising ID on Android), does not ask for tracking permission, and does not track you for advertising or across other apps and websites.

8. Backups and exports you create

GARIO can create a backup or export file (in JSON, including references to your documents). That file is produced at your request and saved wherever you choose — your device’s files app, a share sheet, or a cloud service you control. Once it leaves GARIO it is governed by your choices and by the terms of wherever you store it. We never receive it.

Your device’s own backup system (for example an iCloud or on-computer backup of the whole device) may include GARIO’s local data as part of that backup. Those backups are controlled by you and by your device or operating-system provider under their terms, not by us.

9. Purchases

If GARIO offers a paid feature in future, any purchase is processed entirely by the app store you installed from (Apple’s App Store or Google Play). We do not receive your payment card or billing details — only the store’s confirmation that a purchase occurred. See that store’s own privacy terms.

10. Children

GARIO is not directed to children under 16 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Because no data reaches us, there is nothing for us to identify or remove; a parent or guardian can delete any data from the device directly.

11. Your data, and how to delete it

GARIO has no account system and holds no data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request to send us. To remove your data:

Your data lives only on your device, so these steps put you fully in control of it.

12. Your rights

Data-protection laws — including Thailand’s PDPA, Singapore’s PDPA, Malaysia’s PDPA, the Philippines Data Privacy Act, and the EU/UK GDPR — give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data and to complain to a supervisory authority. For GARIO you exercise these directly, in the app, because we are not a controller or processor of any information held on your device and we hold no personal data about you ourselves. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and describe the new processing before it begins.

13. Security

Your data is protected by your operating system’s application sandbox and by device encryption, which protects app data while the device is locked with a passcode, PIN or biometric unlock. Keep your operating system up to date and use a device lock.

14. International users

GARIO operates offline on your device. We carry out no cross-border transfer of your data because we do not receive your data.

15. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app or its app store release notes.
